Maya is a New York-based actor, singer, violinist, and writer. She recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a dual BA in Theatre Arts and Music. Born and raised in the Midwest, Maya has been singing for as long as she can remember. She started playing violin at age 8 and fell in love with theater in high school.

Some of Maya's favorite stage credits include Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest, Heather in American Idiot, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, and Monica in The Medium. She is excited to portray Meg in an upcoming production of meg jo beth amy & louisa, a devised comedic adaptation of Little Women, at The Dixon Place.

A writer and comedy lover, Maya has developed and performed original autobiographical performance art, served as a staff writer and editor for satire publication The Black Sheep Online, and will be debuting original music at The Bitter End this Halloween.

In her free time, Maya loves dancing, swimming, cooking, baking, eating, exploring new places, and spending time with her family and her wonderful partner. A recent NYC transplant, Maya is excited to continue creating and learning in this new chapter of her life!
