Maya is a New York based actor, singer, and violinist. She has a dual BA in Theatre Arts and Music from the University of Iowa. Born and raised in the Midwest, Maya has been singing and playing violin since childhood. She made her stage debut at 14 as “Hot Box Girl #3” in Guys and Dolls, in what critics (her 9th grade English teacher) called a “scintillating” performance.
In a bucket-list moment, Maya recently performed in Once at Pioneer Company in Salt Lake City (Ex-Girlfriend). She was excited to return to a role she originated in a 2018 Dixon Place workshop of indie play meg jo beth amy & louisa at the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival. She’s currently playing Miranda in an outdoor production of The Tempest in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY. Between acting engagements, Maya can be seen singing and fiddling in NYC venues like The Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall.
In her free time, Maya loves seeing live theatre and comedy, cooking, baking, eating, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family, boyfriend, and other people’s dogs. For a full list of upcoming performances, click here!
